Vision
The vision of the Master of Criminology Program at FISIP UI is to make the Department of Criminology, FISIP UI, an academically excellent department in the field of Criminology, both in Indonesia and internationally recognized, in order to support Universitas Indonesia’s efforts to become an academic center of excellence in Indonesia, recognized internationally.
Mission
Based on this vision, the mission of the study program is to produce criminology masters who are ready to become:
- Possess the ability to apply, develop, and/or enrich the body of knowledge and technology in criminology, used to understand and solve crime problems, as well as disseminate its use to improve the quality of life of the community and enrich national culture.
- Develop criminology knowledge and technology through research, development, and education involving Lecturers, Students, and Alumni, supported by competent educational staff, based on the social realities faced by the Indonesian nation, nationally relevant and internationally recognized.
- Apply criminology knowledge and technology involving Lecturers, Students, and Alumni, supported by competent educational staff, for the benefit of the community as a form of public service.
Objectives
The objectives and goals of the Master of Criminology Study Program at FISIP UI are to prepare students to become members of society with the following characteristics:
- Produce excellent criminology master’s graduates who are nationally and internationally competitive.
- Produce graduates capable of developing and updating criminology knowledge to solve crime problems at national and international levels.
- Develop new ideas through research whose results can benefit the development of criminology education, practice, and profession in Indonesia, as well as globally.
- Produce graduates who can produce scientific works publishable in national and international journals and actively participate in various criminology seminars/conferences, both national and international in scope.
