Graduates of this program can work in various types of security companies and industries, judicial institutions such as the Police, prosecutor’s office, courts, Correctional Facilities, Directorate General of Corrections, National Narcotics Agency, and National Counter-Terrorism Agency.

Graduates who are already working have the opportunity to advance their careers to a higher level. Some suitable professions for this program are security and safety consultants, intelligence data analysts, lecturers, and researchers.

List of Graduate Competencies

The Undergraduate Criminology Study Program constantly hones the abilities of its academic community to produce graduates who are:

  • able to critically and argumentatively analyze crime as a social phenomenon from both national and international perspectives.
  • master theoretical concepts of criminology in general and specific theoretical concepts within criminology in depth, and are able to formulate procedural problem solutions.
  • able to apply their criminology expertise and utilize science and technology in the field of criminology for problem-solving, and are able to adapt to various situations.
  • able to make sound decisions based on information and data analysis, and are able to provide guidance in choosing various alternative solutions independently and in groups.
  • responsible for their own work and can be entrusted with responsibility for achieving organizational work results.

Study Load Classification

The study load for the Undergraduate Criminology Program is 146 credits (SKS), which includes compulsory, elective courses, and a final project (thesis). The study period is scheduled for 12 semesters, and can be completed in a minimum of 8 semesters and a maximum of 16 semesters, in accordance with the academic regulations of the University of Indonesia. Students also have the right to apply for academic leave for a maximum of 2 semesters.
